For Spin Poker Players ONLY

Many of you know why you play Spin Poker and Spin Deluxe. It's the
opportunity to experience multiple royals on one play. Trust me, it's
one of the most exciting VP experiences. But you do have to survive
long enough to "get there".

But how many royals, exactly? For fun I mapped out all 9 lines in
Spin (and all 20 in Spin Deluxe) to see which position would be most
lucrative if drawing on a dealt four-to-the royal and the fifth card
resulting in the royal then appears.

Not surprisingly it is the center postion of the second row which
will give you the maximum (for the game) 5 royals if drawn as the
card resulting in the royal. Either position above or below will only
give you 2 royals, and the remainder give you 3. In all of my Spin
experiences I have always gotten the 3 royals. That makes sense,
because that is what most of the grid will give you. And it takes
awhile to be dealt four-to-the-royal and to actually draw the 5th
jackpot card. I suppose in my lifetime I will also experience the two
royals and maybe even get to the 5.

Spin Deluxe, involving more than twice the expense at max coin for a
wilder rollercoaster ride, has more variance in number of royals of
the resulting 5th card draw. When dealt four-to-the-royal you will
get at least four royals when drawing the fifth card. Many hands give
you 5, a few 6, 7, and so forth.

But that lucky center position of the 2nd row? Enjoy your good
fortune as you collect on 11 royals. Now THAT'S entertainment!

Very early in my Spin Poker playing career, I recall getting dealt 3
deuces on a quarter NSUD game. I was rooting for the center spot to
fill because I knew it paid more, and sure enough a deuce showed up
right in the center. Five sets of quad 2s for - oops - a $1250 W2-G.
Hadn't thought of that - oh well.

Like you, I have only filled the 3 Royal version of a 1 card draw on
regular Spin Poker, never 2 or 5. I did fill a 1 card draw on a Spin
Poker Deluxe game once for six royals, which was pretty exciting.

Recently playing Spin Poker Deluxe I filled two Royals on a TWO card
HOLD, which was a suprise that came completely out of nowhere. The
slot attendants had fun trying to figure out what I had hit.

The center spot is always the sweetest, as most lines go through it
in Spin or Spin Deluxe. It is the most adjacent, as a top or bottom
row card spot cannot connect with a bottom or top row spot in the
next position in the grid. Nothing more frustrating in this game than
seeing all the cards you need in the display of 15 but in the wrong
position. I get four aces a lot playing DB or DDB but no jackpot
since the bullets don't "connect".

Hopefully you had losses that year to itemize and offset the $1250.

My rough calculation shows the most frequent number of Spin Deluxe
royals in the "drawing the royal after being dealt four-to-the-royal"
scenario is 5 royals, so you did well with 6. Looks like there is
only one position each out of the 15 spaces that will give you either
8,9,10 or 11 royals.

And think how hard it must be to get one of those jackpots. You first
have to be dealt four to the royal. You then have to draw the 5th
royal card. And then it has to be in the exactly right place!

Would love to see a photo if ever achieved. Would rank right up there
with a dealt royal for all five hands on the 8X line of 5 Play MS.
