Food at Rama (and more)

Albert:

I think that the food at Rama, especially in Rinaldo's is much better
than "not too bad".

We have had many exceptionally good meals there.

My one gripe is the cost of drinks.

I realize we live in Ontario, and alcohol cannot be comped ( we're
allowed to have some fun - just not too, too much), but do they
really have to charge $9.50 for a glass of wine?

I wonder if we crossed paths in Las Vegas.

We stayed (and played) at the Las Vegas Hilton April 3-6, playing
mostly All American Poker in the Spacequest Casino, with the
occasional foray to the 10 line JOB in the main casino.

We then moved to the Barbary Coast, staying there April 7-13, and
playing a lot of NSU deuces.

As well, we made a couple of visits to Main Street Station, and to
the Orleans, and a single trip to the Palms.

Neil

Neil: I was at the Stratosphere for 4 days from April 7, and then at the Stardust for 3 days.
I spent a little time at the Palms.
I may try Rinaldos the next trip. I have always eaten at the buffet or at the Weirs in the past, but I can hit them up for a comp and see what happens. I agree $9.50 for a glass of wine is obscene.

Gripes with the food at Rinaldo's lie not with the quality, but with
the price. Even after a $40 "comp", dinner for two can still run
upwards of $50. Rinaldo's is simply not a "gourmet" restaurant and
shouldn't be charging gourmet prices for average-quality food &
service.
