As several people have requested, i'm going to terminate the
discussion of possible non-random, gaffed, whatever you call it, VP
machines in Nevada.
It's apparent that what should be a topic of rigorous objectivity
strikes an emotional chord with a number of people, so that it's
hard to maintain a rational discussion thereon. The emotional ties
that some have toward Las Vegas, specific casinos, and gambling
itself cannot be ignored and are perhaps a primary cause of Las
Vegas' huge prosperity and immense popularity.
I'm also going to initiate a personal policy of simply not
responding any more to posts that do nothing more than express their
disagreement with me and tell me what a fool, moron, idiot,
charlatan, liar, etc. etc. etc. I am. I've come to realize that I
simply empower these boors by responding to them. The best response
is the cyber-equivalent of stuffing a pacifier in a crying baby's
mouth.
I will continue to post opinions that many may disagree with. I
welcome such disagreement as long as it is expressed in a reasonably
civil manner, and has some BASIS for the disagreement (not "I think
you're wrong").
I've received all sorts of feedback in the last few weeks; the only
thing I can say with any assurance is that no one feels NEUTRAL
about me
