Florida Video Poker

I just visited the Seminole Hard Rock casino in Tampa, Florida. The data base appears to be accurate. Just a warning, the casino charges for drinks even when playing in the high limit room. I was charged $3.00 for a bottle of water. Only tap water and soft drinks are complimentary.

The best game available is an 8/5 bonus game where all 4 of a kinds pay 175 coins. Does anyone know the major strategy adjustments necessary to play this game as compared to the strategy on regular 8/5 bonus or 9/6 jacks or better?

We have the same problem in California Indian casinos where they don't
comp drinks. When I ask them why, they say the state doesn't allow it.
If that's true, then why can't they charge say $1 for a drink to
players that are playing?

As far as paying out 175 for 4OAK's, I'd wouldn't give them any action
with those kind of payouts. I'm sure they're doing a unbelievable
amount of business at the HR if it's anything like the one I visited
in Hollywood, but I wouldn't give them any business if they won't pay
out properly, and I would tell management about it.

Play the 8-5 Jacks Strategy, and the 8-5 Bonus Strategy should be very
close to the Jacks. At 4000 coin royals, the two should be identical,
or at least very, very close to identical.

Additionally, my understanding of Seminole Tampa is that's it not the
most secure casino (not as bad, as, say Coconut Creek in the south,
however). Be very careful if you hit something good there (valet
parking is never a bad idea). Quite a few big keno winners have been
followed home.
