visitors and locals alike should pay attention when storms hit
our desert town and watch out for flash floods. Obviously if you are
driving
and see flooding, don't attempt to drive through flooded streets.
I got caught in it but the flooding was not as bad as what you're watching.
I drove through a foot or two of water at various intersections as I came
north on Buffalo to my home, north of Lake Mead and a little west of Buffalo.
There was a tree knocked over by the storm almost blocking my way to my little
street but I skirted it and was thrilled to be in my garage. Now the rain has
stopped where I live (not sure if permanently or temporarily) and I've
curtailed my plans to go out this evening.
I just last week bought a Toyota Sienna (minivan) and it was good to be in a
high car today with all that water in the streets.
