Flaming on forums

This article link appeared on one of the tournament blackjack forums,
and I think it applies damn well here. Without pointing fingers at
anyone in particular, there's a few who might think about reading this
and strongly considering some of the suggestions.

I may be insensitive, but I don't think many of the posts made on vpFREE would be considered
"flaming". Many are certainly critical, and some may be considered overly critical but these don't
come up to the level of a flame in my opinion.

The fact that this is a moderated forum is probably a good reason for this. Thank heaven for
moderators.

I certainly agree with the column anyway. I myself always go through a posting twice if I am
writing something critical.

A.P.

Even though that article deals mostly with advice for IM'ing and blogs, it's still good advice for anyone participating in forums. Thanks for the link.

I've visited a number of so-called "Vegas" informational web sites and very much dislike those that allow lots of off-topic posts or flaming mixed in with a little on-topic. Man, there seem to be a lot of crappy Las Vegas advice sites out there.

I'm so glad this forum is moderated as well as another one I visit that is highly moderated too. Thank you to all you hard-working mods!
