Fixing Video Poker for Winners

Bob Dancer sends:

An upgrade to Windows caused Video Poker for Winners to
crash because changes in .NET. To fix it, all registered
users who install Windows upgrades (or plan to) should
follow this link to download and install an updated version

http://68.178.221.200/vpw/VPWV1_75_Lite_DownloadInstall.exe

It is not necessary to uninstall the earlier version prior
to doing this.

This will download and install a 10-day free trial. Once
this happens, send the MID and Site Code via email to
support@videopokerforwinners.com and they will give you a
new access code.

The change to Windows was a big surprise and we regret the
inconvenience caused. The above link, however, should fix
the problem.

I also loaded the Microsoft fix for .NET so the problem should apply to me.
However, when I run VPW, my system does not crash but I have a strange problem when
selecting either FPDW or NSUD from "Game King Multi Game".. If the dealt hand contains only a pair and that is held, a warning message says this is incorrect and the best hold is to hold nothing.
This also occurs when you manually select any hand that contains only a pair. When
you ask to "Show Details" the chart highlights hold nothing even though a pair shows up with a higher EV.
Could this be caused by the .Net upgrade or is it another problem? Will
downloading the new version from Dancers website correct this?

I downloaded and it seems to work without any code authorization. Is there something I am missing?

I tried to access this link after my VPW stopped working, but it does not work, trying to download from site gives error message about 32 bit not working.

You can also try this link for the latest version:
http://www.videopokerforwinners.com/vpw/currentversion/

It was sent to me recently when I had VPW troubles.
I had been using 1.11 before this.

I also found that submitting questions via their website's Support Center / Ask a Question page got quick and effective results.

Take Care,
Mark
