Fitzgerald's

We made a reservation through TravelWorm on Sept. 23 to stay at Fitzgerald's on Dec. 7 & 8. We have never stayed there before and were looking forward to trying it. We were contacted tonight (2 days before we are to stay there) by TravelWorm telling us Fitzgerald's has instructed them to tell us we are being moved to the 4 Queens.

We called Fitzgerald's and were told they were having a slot tournament and so had no room for the TravelWorm guests. Obviously this didn't happen overnight and they waited till the last minute to tell us so we wouldn't be able to get a room anywhere else. When questioned they told us the tournament had been planned after we made our reservation.

We are not happy about staying at the 4 Queens but don't have any choice at this late date.

I am furious about the way Fitzgerald's treats their customers and under no circumstances will we ever attempt to stay there again.

I think your gonna like 4 queens a lot better than Fitz anyway. Better restaurants, much better video poker , and they treat their long time players well. IF your a light sleeper, get a room away from Fremont street experience which is quite noisy from 6PM till about 2AM.
They do have a very nice bank of $1 5/8 bonus pok progressive coin droppers at the Fitz, that occasionally goes positive.

Have to agree with Tom. Your EV has dramatically improved with the move
to 4Q. Brush up on 10/7 Double Bonus. The 4Q has it in both %.25 & $1
with progressives for the royal.

The CB on the Quarter 10/7 bank is .3125%. It's back by Magnolia's.
This bank also has dollar 10/7. The 10/7 progressive which is not far
from the hotel desk has very weak CB. I can't remember what it is but
I know it is very weak. The meter is very slow too so you are probably
better off playing the bank with the strong CB. The 9/6 DDB in the
bartops have five meters all running at .25@. All the bartops in the
whole place are linked together and get lots of short coin action.
Consequently they develop good numbers.

Don't be shy about asking for comps. The boothlings up front where you
get your slot card don't cut the comps. You have to use the booth in
the back by the hotel desk. If you are facing the hotel desk it will
be on your right.

I too would have to consider being moved from Fitz to the 4 Queens as
an upgrade.

Here's the 4th vote for the Queens. Much, much, nicer than the dumpy
Fitz. They did you you a real favor! Be sure and pop in and tell
them. Better VP. Better service. Better comps. Better everything.

We really like the 4 Queens much better, as well. They even upgraded
their rooms recently with flat panel TV's etc, but we hardly ever
spend any time in the room anyway. Easy comps, good cashback and VP.
We always get rooms on the south end to avoid the Fremont Experience
when we do take a nap.

Thanks for the replies. After what I've read here I'm thinking it will be
okay. The most annoying part was they waited till 2 days before our stay to
let us know we were being moved.

Four Queens is a gem, .05 & .25 players get rooms comped. Great
food. Nice people.

I won a keno tourney there in Aug 2004 by getting lucky on my second buy in hitting 6 out of 8 on a 2-2-1-1-1-1 ticket grouped as 5,s, 6,s, 7,s 8,s at their truly special rate. As luck would have it hit 2-1-1-1-1 for a solid 6 and 4 solid 5's winnign close to $3K and the tourney and I was banned from future tourneys due "advantage" play ((in English I got lucky as with a 10 game ticket that hit had about 591/1 odds against me)- They should pay you the rack rate for one night if they forcibly move you and pick up your meals and the bellhops tips to cart your luggage across the street and back.
