First Time Cruising w/ Casino...

You should be very wary about cheating. It has been done in the past (American Coin) and I would suspect it will also be done in the future.
In New Jersey video poker is treated like slots and unseen cards DO NOT have to have an equal probability of being dealt. A video poker game may be honest but does not have to be. What bothers me is that the casino owners might not think they are cheating. They set the machine at say 93% and you think you
are playing a 99.5% or possibly over 100% game and you're getting crushed. You attribute your loss to variance or bad luck. The casino owner doesn't
think anything is "crooked". You were playing a 93% slot game, seems normal to him. Be extremely cautious about "server" reel slots. They can be changed at any time and you may not have any way of knowing. By the way in New York state all video poker games cheat. Skill games are illegal, the cards are not dealt
randomly and the casino owners think everything is OK. Is this incredible - by law in New York state cheating is MANDATORY in video poker
games with a draw. Enough said, as Stan Lee would say.

This is wrong!

This is also wrong. VP games in NY are not random because they are under the jurisdiction of the ny lottery and randomn games are not permitted. But it is not cheating. The rules and regs are clearly stated for public consumption. This is where the "genie' comes into play. Themachines state that the cards are merely there for entertauinment puposes.

Rhode Island as well but not Delaware.
Wasn't it you, lfcmja, that pointed out awhile ago N.Y. also requires an .92. E.V. and is actually not a bad deal for slot machine players?
