First Royal

I was at Majestic Star casino in Indiana this afternoon. My wife was playing 3 card, so my Mother-in-law and I went up to play some Video Poker. It so happened that today was some "spin for a million dollars" day at Majestic so the place was PACKED!!! every video poker machine was taken, or held for someone. We wandered around for a while and a 100 play PENNY machine opened up. We were not looking to break the bank, we were just killing time. So we each put in $10 and started at the Deuces Wild. We wanted to make our money last so we were playing the 100 hands at a penny each. This was fun for awhile, but we soon grew tired of looking all over to see what we won. So we cut back to 50 hands, but stayed at 1 penny per. We hit little stuff here and there. Finally we grew tired of Deuces and switched to JOB. At that point boredom took over and we decided to play 20 hands at the full 5 cents (Still staying at a dollar a pull). On about the 3rd hand I was
dealt A Q 10 of diamonds. We held our breath and hit draw. On the main line we get a flush and the first of the other 20 play I see in order AKQJ10 of diamonds and the big 4000 coins (Pennys Woo Hoo). We cashed out with a big $75. But the excitement of my first Royal was still a rush.

That first one is, indeed, a rush! Unlike you, I don't remember what
cards I was dealt, but my first RF was at Flamingo Hilton Laughlin. I
was playing Deuces Wild (single line nickels)and was dealt two high
cards to a royal. When the machine locked up I just sat there with my
mouth open. VBG

Congrats!!! I hit my first Royal on a penney machine at at The Palms. What was so nice was the guy next to me told me he had been playing VP as long as I had and
had NEVER hit a Royal--not even on a Penney machine! I was thrilled as I'm sure
  you were/are!!!

Congratulations! I also hit my very first (real) royal flush this
weekend [too bad WinPoker royals don't count]. I was playing at the
Riviera in Black Hawk, Colorado. I played 10 hands max-coin on a
penny Super Double Bonus hundred play. I held Jack-Queen of clubs,
and my third hand drew the rest of the club royals!
