So, will be in Laughlin over the 4th. I gather I shouldn't bring a
sweater, but any other informational tidbits would be appreciated.
Good vantage point to see fireworks? Any good promotions that don't
involve lugging a six pack of beverage through airport security?
Stimulus check promo maybe? It has been about 18 months since my last
visit.Chandler

Hey there Chandler,
That is Chi-town right as a home district?
I imagine most casinos have a private party for their good gamblers. Did you
get one? They are doing the "Rockets Over the River" just one night this
year. They shoot the works in the old Riverside parking lots on the Bullhead
City side of the river. There really isn't a bad spot to watch up and down the
Riverwalk.
If you don't have an invite the Pioneer lawn will get busy a couple hours
before the show. That part of the Riverwalk will clog up.
It really is a unique experience. The River traffic gets shut down. They
completely forbid boats within a few hundred yards of the shell launching.
Checking my calendar there is almost a new moon, so no moon at dusk rising over
the eastern hills this year.
I did the "Rockets" once in my youth, in 2004. I had a room the next night
at Harrahs, and pulled a scheduled all-nighter getting into town about dinner
time for the fireworks. I remember taking a little nap at the Harrahs Pool
about sunrise.
As always check out the Entertainer for promos and specials. Online it is
www.laughinentertainer.com , new edition on Wednesday mornings. Coming out on
July 2nd the edition should be chock-full of the July promos/music/special food
deals.
Enjoy!
