I hope I'm not asking an obvious question. Sorry if I am. But, is
there an easy way to figure out how many dollars I put through the
machines per day? I SURE do know how many dollars I'm losing (or
hopefully winning). But I mean the amount that is used to figure out
if I qualify for comped rooms etc. Do you have to record how many
points are earned on your players card and then transfer that into
coin in? If I understand this correctly - it's the amount of money or
credits run through the machines, that comps are given on. I'm just
not sure how to track it. Thanks for any help with this.

You can figure it out by taking the nmeber of points divided by the dollars needed to earn a point - but that is too hard for me. I just walk up to the booth and ask for my coin in for the day, trip whatever! Easy.

Yes, you need to know how many "Hand Per Hour" you play. Ask an
assistant to watch and time you with a watch. Play at a normal
speed. Your assistant should watch for 10 minutes, count your hands,
then multiply this by 6 to give you HPH. This will allow you to
figure your coin in per hour, and per day.
Your result will vary based on the machine, mostly because of
proficiency with one vs. another. You may play 800 HPH on one
machine, and only 600 on another.
