Being a quarter FPDW & FPKBJW player, going to LasVegas 6-8 times
per year (from the midwest, where I don't play at all) and playing
700-900 hands per hour with 96 to 99% average accuracy, am I better
off at E.C. or the Fiesta? My room has been fully comped in Reno at
the Silver Leagacy, The Peppermill & the Atlantis. In Las Vegas, at
the E.C my RFB is fully comped and at the Plaza, Queens, LV Club
(the only other places I've stayed downtown) my room and some meals
are comped. I've stayed at the Palms 3 times and they also comped my
room each time, though I would say, with "less enthausiasm". They
NEVER send me coupons for future playing. I don't like the young,
hip ambiance at the Palms.
I have never stayed at the Fiesta, but I presume they would at least
comp my room.
I have stayed at the E.C. Countless times and am quite familiar with
that Casino though everytime I come a few more good machines are MIA.
Do you have a suggestion other the Fiesta for a FP quarter player
who appreciates comps and friendly personnel??

Fiesta vs El Cortez
The trouble with Fiestas (both of them) as far as room comps go is
that the adjoining hotels are relatively small by Vegas standards;
thus, the host(s) may simply be UNABLE to comp you on a busy weekend.
That said, Fiesta Henderson is a better bet than Fiesta Rancho.
You might also consider Sunset Station; although their FP selection is
severely limited, there ARE enough machines that if you don't mind
sitting next to a chainsmoking local, you can usually find a seat.
Forget Coast Casinos---almost no FPVP, and tight room comps to boot.
(Except at Gold Coast, which has ABSOLUTELY nothing playable.)
I also have enjoyed Arizona Charlie's East as far as the friendliness
and helpfulness of the hotel staff; room comps were kind of tight, and
the VP is nowhere near as good as it used to be, though.
Sam's Club used to be very liberal with its comp policies AND had
great VP; now, the VP mostly sucks and the comps have been tightened
up so much that they squeak.
You know what I would do? I'd try the Monte Lago. Over 600 FPDW,
FPJoker, etc.---quarter player's heaven. As generous as their monthly
locals' mailers have been, I would think they'd welcome a visiting
player who wanted to get "established" with open arms.

I like Monte Lago myself, but I don't think a room comp at the Ritz
Carlton isn't likely to happen for a quarter player. I do know of a
dollar play who has generated an offer of $99/night. Also, do they
still advertise over 600 full pay games? They have shorted a lot of
machines in the last month.

Regarding the 96-99% accuracy: That's a wide range. The key
accuracy stat to look at when practicing is the Error Effect on
Total Return (BDPW) or ER Accuracy (FVP). If that accuracy is less
than 99.5%, you need more practice. As far as where you are better
off, I don't think someone can anyone can make that judgement except
you (you should stay where you like to play and get comped), but I
agree with RockofJello that Fiesta Hend. is better than Rancho for a
visitor and also that Sunset Staton is a good option. They have
better rooms than any station except GVR. If you are really not
concerned with amenities and want to play KBJW with great comps and
cashback (.75%), Key Largo is probably the best play.
