The closest CBS weather station to our house showed a high today of 122. As
of about 11:10 PM, still a balmy 103. Of course, we can't complain too much
because last night we had a bone chilling overnight LOW of 93 :-).

When I checked out of the
Stardust two hours ago the progressives at the Royal
Bar were over $2800 for hearts, almost that for spades
and over $1800 for both clubs and diamonds. The
bartenders told me no one had hit a Royal for at least
four days there. I did not hit it or win the Mustang
in the drawing either:-)
Btw, the $1 8/5 JOB progressive at the Mirage hit
$6010 yesterday when I took it down, got me plus for
the trip so far, barely.
