Allow me to try to clear this up:
If you are at or above the tier that receives $15 cash coupons (which
have been either for Sun/Tues or Sun/Mon redemption), then another
sheet in the coupon package has also given "500 points and $5 cash"
good on successive Thursdays. It's very easy to (if you forget to
bring the actual coupons) misremember this as a 5X point coupon, and
unlike the Mon/Fri 5X offer, you DO need the coupon, because part of
it is a cash redemption.
Another twist on the cash coupons is that they have $10 coupons on
successive days; one is just, they hand you the $10, the other
(Fridays), you have to earn 100 pts ($100 coin-in) to get the $10.
This month's total cash offers exceed anything I've gotten from them
in the past; it's something like $140 total. And my play there has, if
anything, decreased over the last three months or so.
They have also put sporadic 5X point offers for Thursdays in their
special event and Macho mailers.
At any rate, the policy is now, according to the head boothnik, that
point bonuses/multipliers should have been loaded into the swipe
machine and that slot club personnel won't enter bonuses manually any
more, except if the swipe machine malfunctions in some way.
Of course, it's hard to take this as gospel truth, given the 458,934
policy changes made this year, but there it is.....
