Went to the Fiesta Henderson today and my wife and I (2 separate club
accounts and 2 separate LV Advisor coupon books) tried to use our 2
$25 dollar matchplay coupons at the roulette table, one on black and
one on red, and the pit boss refused the bet. She said only one coupon
bet at a time.
This ever happen to anyone else. We have done this at the Palms and
Tuscany with no problem.
We were successful at Fiesta Henderson with our POV $25 match play. The
pit boss came over after the roulette dealer questioned the *high* &
*low* numbers played by my wife and myself. He said you got a winner
unless 0 or 00 appeared. This was about five months ago.
At the Palms about 4 months ago, the dealer denied us the same
opportunity; saying the double play does not give us (the Palms) an
*equal chance to win* as you (the customer). Also, something about the
*spirit* of the coupon. Went to Blackjack, where one of us won and the
other lost. Still a winner. I should have been stopped at each casino,
because our matchplay coupons were 2007 POVs. I'm not complaining. Ron

In my opinion, it is a bad idea to try to hedge matchplays. The pit
personnel absolutely hate it when you do that; they don't understand
that the EV is exactly the same. They don't think in those terms at
all, nor do we as players want them to. You have nearly a 50% edge for
each one, so to piss them off when using them is just bad business.
True, some don't mind, but enough of them do mind that it's best to use
them one at a time. That keeps the peace, and makes them more likely
to keep offering them.
