At Fiesta Henderson Optimum Play machines have been reduced to a total
of 40. Only six of them, slant tops near the front door, have denoms
of .25/.50/$1. All others are .05/.10/.25 uprights. Eight of them are
located at the rear door. Six are at a side door. Five are in the
previous sportsbook end of the casino. Nine are located on the back
wall of the previous small Keno lounge, which is now the temporary
sportsbook and a genuine smokers paradise. Six machines, three of which
have KBJW, are located in their previous position between the restrooms
and the coffee shop. There are no Optimum Play machines on the second
floor.
Hopefully the missing machines will return when the new sportsbook
expansion opens in late August or early September. Currently a few
thousand square feet of casino space in the previous sportsbook end of
the casino is partitioned off as part of the expansion. The temporary
wall has had a negative impact on air circulation in that area.
