In this case, granting "permission" means empowering your vpFREE2
account to edit that particular casino. In other words, the vpFREE2
Admin was asking you if you'd be willing to be the Atlantis casino
monitor, and if you agreed, he'd adjust your account to allow it to
edit the Atlantis info pages (something that most people can't do).
"Permission" in this sense is a computer term that's been around since
the 1970's (if not earlier).

The best thing about vpfree2 is now you all can take credit
for it & the fact you have decided to no longer update
the old database shows how weak your efforts are.

In eliminating choice you are forcing us to go to your site
if we want the most updated info. Sad.

This is a very strange comment. Previously there was one (1) vpFREE
database. Now there is one (1) vpFREE2 database. There is no more or
less choice than there used to be -- just the format has changed.
Some might feel that one or the other visual design is superior --
that's just personal preference. But it appears that the new vpFREE2
site is using an actual modern database, so for example you can
quickly search for all $0.25 9/6 Jacks or Better SpinPoker machines on
the Gulf Coast, if that's what interests you... you couldn't readily
do custom searches like that with the old system. Also, the vpFREE
Admin has already pointed out that the new system is less work for
him, and considering this is a totally free resource, it doesn't seem
fair to deny him that improvement.

Of course, if you're still unhappy with the new system, you could 1)
stop using it, and/or 2) create your own VP database site and share it
with the rest of us...

user -- but who knows better than to look a gift horse in the mouth!)

I'm still waiting for the original poster to apologize to the administrator.
