Fed: Westin Casuarina update

We were at the Westin last weekend; a quick check shows no change
to the VP inventory. NSUD is still the only good game there, but
they have it on most machines (except the progressives at the
bartops) in both 25c and 5c denominations. I noticed that the
webpage shows the last update as July 2005, but the info there is
still current.

They have one of the best slot clubs I know of: 0.5% cash back
plus 0.5% in comps, and pretty good mail offers. We had about
$20K action for the weekend, a typical trip for us, and got about
$600 in total comps (including a free room night). 3% back for a
99.73% game - nice!

As a big fan of All American, I was sad to see the LV Hilton
remove it, but the handwriting has been on the wall for a few
years now.

Sorry, but I'm having trouble with the 3% number. Granted that $600 is
3% of $20K, but if the slot club has .5% cash back and .5% in
comps...where does the other 2% come from??

Wow!! $400 "comp" for a "free" room night...if the room was $1,000 for
the night, the EV would have been increased by 5%??? Sounds like fuzzy
math to me...

LOL, must have been a nice room. For $400, they should throw in the
towels, so to speak.
