? Fast track Harrah Diamond.....renewel

Has anyone that is already a Diamond card holder used the "fast track"
1800 points at Harrah to renew their membership for the following
year? Or is 1800 points only good for first time Diamond members?

I renewed (or more accurately, bought) my diamond level using the "fast track" 1800 pts at Harrah's LV in January - LV.
Also...
I earned about right around 3,400 base RCs. I later received a mailer with a $31 check (about .09%, yahoo!) and 3 $50 cash coupons, that each required me to earn 75 pts ($750 coin-in). So, based on about $36.25k total coin-in ($34k original coin in + play reqd for the cash coupons), I received a total of $181, for a rate of about .5% overall. The check and coupons were redeemable at LV, Laughlin or Rio.
How limiting my play to just enough to redeem the coupons will affect the next mailing, I don't know, (but I doubt it will have a good effect).

Best Harrah's plan for locals is to just avoid them, I guess, but the second best plan is play at Laughlin, redeem at LV. Actually, if one likes the free tournaments (it seems like a couple a month at least), plan two may be best.
Thanks,
Skip

My friend that just did the 1800 pts in Laughlin was already a Diamond
for this year, and the person at the Total rewards booth updated his
account and then printed him a new card and took the old one. The
problem with that was that the cards in Laughlin dont have a signature
line on the back and we are from STL and we need one, so he now has to
get another new card for here in MO, so it seems to be fine for
existing diamond players, and I cant imagine that it wouldnt apply to
all harrahs casinos, if there is a problem with it I will definetly
report it to everyone.
