I'm sorry that ROJ is leaving ( I'll miss his well-written humorous posts) and hope he changes his mind.

As usual, Linda, I agree with you 100%.
Rock posted witty, well thought and intelligently phrased posts,
that IMO were both interesting and informative. His writing style
was eminently readable.
I will miss being able to read his posts, and hope that he changes
his mind.

Huh...According to vpFREE the guy lost his posting priviledges on
this board. Proving once again a board without an active
administrator will definitely lapse into ranting spam like most
boards on the internet.

First of all, ROJ received a 2 week suspension of
posting priveleges (the MINIMUM suspension for a FIRST offense,
since the NPC rule went into effect). He did NOT lose his posting
priveleges on a permanent basis, but rather voluntarily decided to
refrain from posting in the future.
Secondly, neither Linda nor I criticized Tom Sims in any way. Every
board must have a competent and firm handed administrator in order
to avoid exploding into chaos, flaming and eventual total
disintegration. IMO, Tom did what he felt he HAD to do, for the
betterment of the forum.
That being said, I still REGRET very much, being denied the pleasure
(FOR ME) of being able to read ROJ's posts in the future. Most of
all, I regret that it has come to this sad point. Apparently, even
in a totally anonymous situation (or perhaps BECAUSE of the cloak of
anonymity) some of us have difficulty in commenting on the opinions
of others, without degrading the opposing viewpoint, or flaming the
poster.

Babe, not only you and Linda but myself and many others, including our administrator, will miss 90% or more of ROJ postings. Rock's wit and perspective is (was) certainly interesting. I feel bad for him because he is not heeding Tom's advice about cutting off our nose to spite our face. When I was young I also liked to pout but when Rock gets over this and wants to re-join, he will. Russ

Hi Russ,
Thanks for a nice post. I was sure that Linda and I had lots of
company, especially in our espousal of the free expression of ideas,
even if some controversial musings are diametrically opposed to
what the majority of people believe.
I hope you are correct in your prediction that ROJ will be back
sometime in the future.
Cheers,
Babe
