False advertising by Stations?

I recently made it to Platinum level at Stations and one of the perks
I was looking forward to was VIP lounge privileges, something
Stations makes a point of listing in promoting its Boarding Pass
program. So far I've been disappointed to learn that neither Sunset,
Texas, or GVR even have VIP lounges, although at Texas I was told at
the slot booth that I could use the refreshment bar in the high
roller slot area if I wanted. I was also told by a friend that Sunset
did have one, but that it was closed down due to abuse of privileges
by at least one card holder. Does anyone know if any of the other
Stations actually have a VIP lounge? I'm starting to feel like I've
been duped.

Boulder Station has a lounge.
Drinks, peanuts and snacks are free for the asking.
Located near the registration desk.

Today the website says VIP lounges at:

Palace Station
Boulder Station
Sunset Station

I thought the website used to include GVR, which did and does not
have a VIP Lounge

I was also told by a friend that Sunset did have one, but that it
was closed down due to abuse of privileges by at least one card
holder.

If that is true, why not restrict that one card holder some way
instead of eliminating the VIP Lounge? I hate it when they claim
they had to take away a benefit because of at least one card holder
abuses it. Harrah's Joliet tried the same reasoning when it
eliminated Diamond Players from free buffets a couple of years ago
because 'some people stole food'. Some may have stolen food, but the
thieves should have been dealt with individually rather than all
players. at the most 'prestigious' level. My hunch is both chains
eliminated programs in order to save money and used the privelege
abused line to justify it. Stations went so far as to say you could
use lounges that do not even exist. They just think their customers
are gullible enough to believe what they are told. Funny how they
treat players at the most 'prestigious' level.

Boulder Station has a lounge. Drinks, peanuts and snacks are free

for the asking. Located near the registration desk.

Will check this out

There may have been abuse at the Texas, also. The refrigerator in the
high limit area used to be open with a variety of drinks in it. Now,
the refrigerator is locked and drinks must be requested.

What you were told is very interesting because I was told by the AGM that they were closing (Sunset) because not enough Platinum / Presidents were using it. Also not true, I have not found 1 that didn't use it occasionally.

Boulder Station has one. We were in there on our last trip.
