Exception to standard deuces while playing NSUD??

Hi all. As I remember, there are only about 4 exceptions playing NSUD compared to standard full pay Deuces? I believe its related mostly to Royal plays? Can any one post the exceptions? Be appreciated.

Cheers.....Jeeps

One exception that I remember (off the top of my head) is that, when you pull two pairs, in FP you take only one of the two pairs (makes no difference which one you take) and you take both pairs in NSUD.

There are many more than 4. I don't think it's mostly related to
royal draws, though. 2 to a royal, king high, should be drawn to more
aggressively in NSUD, but it's not a very big difference. Straight
flushes are more aggressively drawn to in NSUD. There are many more
than 4 instances of just those. 875s52 is one example. 2 to a
straight flush can beat a redraw in NSUD.

The one that comes up most often is keeping 2P in NSUD.

Others include:
Keeping 5OAK with three deuces in NSUD
Keeping 1 gap 3SF with one deuce in NSUD (except 4-6 and lower)
Keeping 1 gap 4SF with one deuce over a straight in NSUD
Keeping 2 gap 4SF with one deuce over 3OAK in NSUD

There are many others, some of which have low EV differences (Q high 2RF vs 4 to inside straight). But typically a question like yours is looking more for the differences between the simple strategies rather than "please list the 500 different penalty card differences between two expert strategies".

I freely admit my list of five up top might be missing one or two with EV differences just as big. I play hundreds of hours of NSUD each year, but less than five hours a year of FPDW, so I certainly don't claim to be an expert (in either game).

I thank you all for comments. I found some old player sheets. I had a program at one time that printed them. I don't remember for sure, but I think Tom Ski was the one who made it?? Do I remember right?
I did find, before leaving for Vegas, NSUD sheet.

I was at Eastside Cannery for couple days and the only thing to play was FPDW @ .25. I was on memory lane 2 days playing for 3-4 hours. I had more fun @ $1 as in the old days. Later I switched to NSUD and I was glad I picked up on the hold the 2 pair and the 5kd play. Sometime I do consult the cheat sheet.

I liked the E. Cannery rooms, real clean and nice. I have nephew who lives near there. Easy
to visit him. + Sams Town & Fiesta near. I also went down to dam. The bathtub ring 130 feet short on water. Really spooky to me. After a couple days I shot back into Vegas. Cannery is a real laid back local place. The folks running things are nice.

Jeff, Just what I needed. If I would have checked your post before I flew out, I would saved couple hours searching through old files. Thanks. Just the strategy sheets I made on my
Compaq. My machine is toast now and can't find disk.

Thanks lots.....Jeep
