Ex-local player can't seem to get a midweek hotel room comped

My wife and I moved away from Las Vegas in October 2009 and I can't even get a midweek hotel room comped. We were always getting offers from the Silverton, Southpoint and the Palms for hotel rooms when we lived there and all the way up until January. Now we get nothing and have not received any reply from any hosts except for the Silverton saying we don't qualify for anything. Are the casinos that short sighted these days?

Does anyone have any advice for getting comped rooms or should we just pay for them at another casino?

Why don't you ask for a casino rate, and if you qualify, there should be no problem getting the room comped. If you're just looking for a free room and give limited action, there's no reason that the hotel is going to comp you. It would seem to me that if your action warranted it in the past, they would have no problem giving you a comped room no matter how long you haven't played there.

If you really want a room comped at the Silverton, just let me know and I'll get you what you need. But you better put some action in at the casino.

Good for you. I'm glad you go something.
