EW March Mailer - I Was Stiffed!

Interesting about the river.

I assume you live in the Laughlin area. Curious - what comes in your typical
EW mailer? Ours (Henderson/LV) are generally $$$ (for some play), rooms and
slot tourneys. No food.

I didn't get mine and it sucks!! I know I played more than enough to
qualify as January was very good. I'd been looking forward to the
free Pizza's. I also have family visiting and was counting on mega
free food. Oh well, I still have enough free food at various
locations including a couple hundred at Granny's in the Pioneer.

By the way, for those wondering why the river was dry...the dam at
Havasu was within 6 inches of maximum level. With all the rain
runoff, especially from the Bill Williams river, BLM was restricting
flow to the absolute minimum to keep from having discharging water to
Mexico. That minumum flow was determined by the power plant pumps by
Harrah's. Water use by California is also very low because they
don't need the irrigation due to the rain.

If not for the plant they may have lowered the discharge even more.

Interesting about the river.

Yeah, I figured some people might want to know about the river deal.

I'm a local.

My Edgewater mailers are always food. Four or five coupons per month
good for $25 each on a different weekday. So $25 on any Tuesday, $25
on any Wednesday etc. The food coupon is good at the Buffet, the
Garden, the Hickory Pit or Pizza Hut. The nice thing about them being
good at Pizza Hut is it's 'to go' so I can take it home. I spend
enough time eating and gambling in casinos so that's a very nice
option and it's fast. Occasionally a slot tourney or free event
tickets are included. For example I got two free tickets to ZZ Top.

I never get money or room offers. I would use the rooms occasionally
if I got the offer. Even the $8 a night monthly email room offers
aren' good for Laughlin or Bullhead City locals. Fortunately the
River Palms gives me quite a few room offers.

Last Spring I got a coupon book full of 2 for 1 buffets, double cash
back and some blackjack match play. I have been saving my cash back
hoping they would do that again.

Whelp, I got my April mailer so life is good. The food coupons
aren't valid at Pizza Hut in April, just the hickory Pit, the Buffet
and the Garden Room but I'll survive.

On another note, one of the One Club workers told me the Edgewater
was bought out by MGM. He was recommending I use up my food and
hotel comps and consider cashing out my cash back. It's at a few
hundred each.

Anybody else heard info on this?

Also, I can't keep track of all the casino mergers and takeowvers
around Laughlin and Vegas. If anybody can post a brief recap of
casinos sales/merger action I'd appreciate it.
