EW/CB Stimulus offer

Received from the Edgewater/Colorado Belle

Three free nights

Valid for up to 3 stays

also-

Point targets Between now and Nov 15:
Earn 5,000 points receive $25
Earn 6,000 points receive $50
Earn 6,750 points receive $100

You keep the points. Only one target paid, not cumulative.
Earned cash rewards will be mailed as redeemable vouchers at end of
earning period.

So is this offer some frosting on the cake or is really a downgrade? Some of you have had a steady diet of non-special event offers, pre-loaded Free-play and up to 5 nights, plus some food.

That is a strange schedule to the thresholds to earn a voucher.

I get, playing $2/pt VP:

earn 5000 points a rate of .25%
earn 6000 points a rate of .42%
earn 6750 points a rate of .74%

That is a bit baffling. No new low-roller mailer yet for me in October.

This should be frosting.

I get 4 X 5 free nights/month and 4 X $50 freeplay/month.

I used the monthly code offer once and the receptionist said that the
other offers weren't out yet. She took my reservation and said to
rebook when a better offer was made. So I did and I got the accumulated
freeplay plus the extras. However, I originally booked 4 nights and the
new offer was for 3 nights. I was going to change it to 3 nights anyway
but they would have wanted to charge for the 4th night. And on top of
that, I had a birthday offer for the same time period and I got the $50
freeplay for it too. I turned in the birthday offer after I used up all
the other freeplay.
Is this triple dipping?

Most of the special event offers are for 3 nights.
I think you need the mailing to get the voucher.

I received the Stimulus offer, but with different thresholds:

Earn 15,000 points receive $70
Earn 18,000 points receive $130
Earn 20,000 points receive $275

If Dennis hits his highest point level of 6,750 he will get $100, but I would receive nothing at 6,750 points and not even half way to receiving that $70. I guess they have higher expectations for me?

They are giving me $75 in dining credits, so I guess I can eat better than Dennis.

I might as well put in my two cents worth: Earn 2000 points get $15 stimulus, 2500 gets me $25, and 2750 gets me $50 -- OK, I'm not a high roller. I also have 3 free nights (3 times) plus $25 in dining credits.

Don't get too excited about the dining credits. The wife & I just got back from Laughlin and I had a $10 dining credit but when used at the Hickory Pit against the $14.95 special Surf & Turf it was valid only against the regular price of $23.95 (so I ordered something else). I assume that at the buffets the dining credit is valid only against the full price (not the with slot card discount price).

We did not do the breakfast buffets at either the Colorado Belle or Edgewater as our previous experience at both of these showed them to be the worst buffets we've ever had in Laughlin in over ten years.

On the other hand Harlow's at the Golden Nugget has a great deal from 6 to 8 am (Mondays thru Thursdays): Two eggs, two strips of bacon, two decent sized pancakes and two decent sized sausage patties for $1.99. However coffee is $2 and milk $2.49.

The two for one dinner buffet ($9.72 total) at the River Palms on Mondays through Thursdays is one of the best deals going. Unfortunately there's currently nothing playable there for me -- the place is really dead (perhaps dying).

Hamstockman's rates to get stimulated: For $2/pt VP,.23%, .36% & .625%... not a bad frosting premium. But those thresholds are way above your trip normals for coin-in. Maybe you get penalized since you do believe in cramming all your tracked play into one, or at most two days at CB even on a 4 or 5 night stay. Don't they know you only make it to Laughlin 3 times a year? You can only do so many 12 hour shifts in one casino.

Zzyzxvault's: For $2/pt VP .375%, .5% & .77%. I saw that... can only apply food comps to normal menu prices somewhere. The Boiler Room took my $10 food coupon for my pizza last trip.
