EW-CB riverwalk festivals...

The EW-CB have begun their festival season(s), I think, with the past Mardi Gras I attended on 2/19-21.

It was well-done, good eats (although a bit pricey, if you didn't have food vouchers at $2/soda, but $6-8 for meals).

Martin.

They had a good Octoberfest too. It seems like they've ALWAYS got something going on in that area between those two places. I think there's a Blues fest coming up soon.

I got my new EW-CB club cards in the mail the other day. I've been upgraded from the clear card to silver based on past play. I live in the pacific northwest and only able to make it down to Laughlin a couple times a year so I doubt if I'll ever make it to the higher rated cards. They say that by turning in your old clear cards by March 31st you'll be eligible for a drawing on that date. Anybody have any thoughts on the new card system?

Seems 'almost' combined;
I say 'almost', bec. you can use pts. off of EITHER card at EITHER properties dining venues; Even poker comp slips accepted from either property.

HOWEVER - you CANNOT (under any circumstance!) try to use the comp pts. or comp slips in COMBINATION with their advertised specials (like 'surf n turf' specials 17.95 in Hickory); 4.99 bkfst special at Coco's seems to be one exception.

POINTS accrual still accumulate SEPARATELY on each property's card,
so use CB for play at CB, and EW for play at EW,
although I have the SAME ACCT # on each card,
just property name is different.
That's a little weird, but it works for them.

ALSO - you still have to visit the slot club booth to 'cash out' pts for a cashback voucher,
which you then cash out at their main cashier cages....

If you'd rather use pts. for "Freeplay" instead (even on the 100% vp games),
then you can do that if you have an active pin # (which you get at the slot club booths).

Whew! Hope that's not 'too much info.', but helpful.

Martin.

VERY helpful, Martin, and thank you. CB-EW cash back procedure isn't that much different from other casinos. In Reno for instance it's not that uncommon to get the voucher from the boothling and take it to the cashier cage.

I'm starting to consider (even though I live in the pacific northwest) frequenting Laughlin more than Reno. On the minus side, there's the cost of the rental car from Vegas and a bit longer of a plane ride. On the plus side, the VP paybacks (at CB-EW and a couple other places) are as good as they are in Reno for BP. Plus I'm starting to get turned off looking at all the vacant buildings on Virginia Street along with the panhandlers.

I am wondering if one has to "be present" to win the March 31 drawing. Any one know? I might get there before to drop them in but will be back home before month end.

Yes, you must be present.

Was told there is only one drawing location (Belle) although both places have entry drums right now.

Also, you can put in cards from other Laughlin casinos. But, for the grand prize ($5K) only cards from EW and CB are eligible.

Was told by slot personnel today that although some of the signage says the drawing will be at CB, that the drawing will now be on the promenade between EW and CB due to the large crowd expected -- some (but not all) of the drawing info sheets now have this update.
