On the good news (HL was pretty bad for vp-gutting recently!):
EW-CB (Marnell of Propery M Resort fame!) has been quite generous with offers to me (for my minimal play avg. of maybe 1-2k BP and 4 hrs live poker daily).
June Promos:
EW in Kokopelli's lounge has different TRIBUTE band concerts every weekend. Laughlin Entertainer listed those concerts as FREE!
June 5-6 (Jimmy Buffet tribute)
June 12-13 (Tom Petty = with Room at the Top band)
June 19-20 (Rolling Stones) with Jumpin'Jack Flash
June 26-27 Bob Seger tribute w/ "Turn the Page".
Funny offer - incl weekend 2 free nights (I already qualify!),
and 4 free lounge drinks, and special tribute band weekend gift.
I'm guessing a T-shirt or logo pin??
Other (better offer): Might be replacing the CLUB VIP promo they tried last summer:
3d/2n incl. 2 free dinners (PRib/Steak, or chicken).
$20 gas card and 'Welcome' Gift basket!
Perhaps I can collect a few more of those this summer??
My freeplay went up to $20 + $20 in June (as my losses were also up previously,.. lol!). For freeplay - usually it's preloaded on your card w/ pin#; Just avail. during dates listed.
(June 1-12, and 14-30). Not sure why June 13 is excluded. (Flag day?)
3rd offer:
Tournaments - all summer long!
Varies by week/month.
Some are for BJ, some for slots - all freerolls! mostly.
(One continuous slot tourney for invited guests only is on certain dates, and costs $79; My buy-in went down to $29. $50 guaranteed;
however, I can't use in conjunction w/ other offers.
June's happens to be on 6/12-13 weekend, when I may be in town again.
Top 25 get a free entry to end of year finale slot tournament, with MORE freeroll $$ to be given to the winners!
Not too shabby marketing by this EW-CB group;
now if only their hotel rooms were a bit nicer.
CB is advertising 'look for remodeled rooms' soon!
That's all from here,
Martin.
PS - AVI Memorial Day Weekend Fireworks show was a blast!
My ONE tip to viewers - if you don't plan on staying at the AVI during this kind of event, drive there from the NV side (vs. Crossing Bridge from BULLHEAD CITY). Many locals told me that and it worked out great. I left at 8 pm for 9pm fireworks;
Parking was easy behind RV camp area, near their outdoor 'events' bleachers. Bleachers were open seating for the fireworks;
Got in - saw 25 min. show, then promptly drove out (before the MASS-EXODUS of traffic began to get snarled on the way out of AVI).
