Edgewater: "99 Bottles of Beer on the Bar"

When: Ongoing

Prizes: Free weekend stay at the Edgewater, $50 dining certificate, case of favorite beer, a custom T-shirt and picture and name on the Wall of Fame.

Format/Entry: This promotion takes place at the River Bar within the Edgewater where the bar now offers 99 different domestic and imported beers on sale. When you finish one of the beers you will get it crossed off the list. If, over time, you finish all 99 beers you will receive the stay, the dining certificate, T-shirt, case of beer and picture on the Wall of Fame posted at the River Bar as listed above.

Among the beers available are such fine domestics as Anchor Steam, Stone Arrogant Bastard from California; New Belgium and Black Dog Ale from Colorado; Landshark Lager from Florida; Big Sky Moose Drool from Montana; Rouge Dead Guy Ale and Windmer Hefeweizen from Oregon; Kona Longboard from Hawaii; Red Hook from Washington; and Leinenkugel's Sunset from Wisconsin.

Imports include (among many others) Boddington's and Monty Python's Holy Grail from England; Guiness and Smithwick's from Ireland; Peroni from Italy; Asahi and Sapporo from Japan; Red Stripe from Jamaica; Chimay Red and Stella Artois Lager from Belgium; Labatt's Blue from Canada; Modela Especial and Bohemia from Mexico; Casablanca from Morocco; and McEwan's Scotch Ale from Scotland.

Enjoy,
Martin.

Well, I enjoy a cold beer as much as anyone, but I am not so sure I would want my picture up on the wall to prove that I consumed that many beers. I guess the catch is they will not comp many of the beers with play.

They have a similar deal at the smallest casino at Lake Tahoe- The Nuggett Crystal Bay. I was talking to a local who told me he had completed the Task- Twice. He said the one beer he had a hard time drinking was a Bud, but it had to be done as it was on the list.
