Ever want to kill your partner

Okay. so I don't REALLY want to kill my mate :)..However, in 6 months of frequent VP where we play together..

He has hit 6 royals..I have hit 1

This year..He's hit deuces (FPDW) about 15 times..me ZERO..

He sits down last week..gets a royal..THEN 2 sets of deuces.

I figure..Okay, I'll stay home

He uses 30 bucks free play and brings home $800 from slots.

My luck has left the building and apparently been zapped right into my husband.

So..here's my pledge..TONIGHT THAT CHANGES AND I GET LUCKY ..

Just typing it out loud to make it so :)..

Talking about "killing" your partner. Years ago I wa playing at the old Marina Hotel on an up and back trip from Los Angeles.

At the time I only played BJ, and I was sitting at a table playing, when all of a sudden, a big commotion broke out in the slots area. I just had to go over and see what was going on.

Turns out a couple were playing a progressive slot machine, one at each machine. The wife kept switching from playing maximum coins (3) to only one coin. So she winds up hitting the jackpot with only one coin in. Her husband goes bonkers and starts screaming at the top of his lungs.It takes security guards to hold him back from hitting her.

Well everything goes back too normal and I return to my seat. But about 15 minutes later a big commotion begins again, but this time more serious, and you can tell punches were being thrown.

Turns out the wife had hit the jackpot AGAIN.....and.....you guessed it....SHE ONLY HAD ONE COIN IN AGAIN!

My wife is similarly lucky. She usually rubs salt in the wound by saying, "you know, someday I'm going to win a really good jackpot".

And she has already won several $8 and $10K jackpots...

When winning, my mate becomes "Mr. Authority"..and offers suggestions...(play slower, play faster..blah..blah). I love him to death and I think THIS Is cute :)..the winning..well, its MY TURN :slight_smile:

I am constantly explaining to my wife the rational behind finding good VP plays and playing them accurately. Not with complete success. I herd her over to the full pay VP bank. I look up later and she is no longer playing the bank. She will show up a few minutes later and I will show her the $150 I've made and proclaim "see, the math works." Even though my "example" is simply a point in time and does not really validate my position, I figure it's a good opportunity and a I use it anyway.

She will then produce a ticket where she just won $1100 on a slot machine.

I suppose there is a distribution around a norm that describes people's luck or lack of it, just like there is a distribution that describes the the potential results of a particular play. If that's the case, she is definitely in the winning tail.
