I just returned from a weekend in AC and picked up on the continuing
thread about stealing coupons from maid carts, etc. (which seems to
have died out now).
I count myself fairly high on the ethical ladder, but I now realize
that I lie down with the lowliest when it comes to one specific
situation: Looking for ways to redeem attractive coupons outside of
the stated restrictions.
Of course the prime example of this is the "One Per Customer". I
won't go into details, but when in LV in October I redeemed two such
coupons that had a VERY high value (Jean S., at the very least
probably knows which one I'm speaking of since I'm pretty sure she's
remarked on it herself in the past -- but let's not make any specific
reference, OK? It's a public forum.)
Obviously, I'd be interested in hearing views. Just how morally
bankrupt am I? (For arguments sake, assume that the value of the
coupon in question is in excess of $10.)
