Eric Clapton Concert Tickets -- Mohegan

Hi:

I just joined the group. A little about myself: I've been lurking in
the group for a year or so. I've been a member of the main vpFREE
group for a couple of years and have contributed a couple of trip
reports on my Vegas trips and a few other posts to that group. I have
both Dancer's VP software and the Frugal software. I get the American
Casino Guide each year and subscribe to Casino Player magazine and use
coupons from both publications. Also, I subscribe to the wild and
wacky Usenet group, alt.vacation.las-vegas.

I don't live very close to Mohegan - about a 2.25 hour drive from a
very northern coastal Massachusetts community, but I go there (and
sometimes Foxwoods) about once a month +- (mostly day trips but stay
over once or twice a year with my wife).

I play mostly Pick'Em mostly at the $1.00 x 5 level in the old poker
room and lately to a lesser degree in the Sky Casino (with the bank
of machines with the "pain in the a__" coin-out only system). BTW, if
you play the token-out only machines in the Sky Casino check your
actual coin out count against the meter as occasionally I've been
shorted. (I've been overpaid once too ;).

Anyway, yesterday was the first time I had an opportunity to go to
Mohegan in a few weeks and I had really hoped to get a couple of
tickets for either of the recently announced Eric Clapton Concerts
there either on Oct. 6th or Oct. 7th.

I went to the box office and planned to pay for two tickets with part
of the 500+- comp points that I've been accumulating since the
beginning of the year (for my wife and me) and was told they were sold
out. When I got home (up $600 thanks to four 10s), I tried buying them
through Ticketmaster and was willing to pay cash for them, but their
web site indicated they were sold out as well.

I was wondering if anyone here A) may have gotten more tickets than
they will use; B) may have gotten tickets and found out they will not
be able to go; or C) are high rollers (which I'm not) and have enough
clout with a casino host to get two tickets for either of the
concerts.

If so, I'd settle for even the worst seats in the house, the only
requirement is that I need two seats together (for my wife and me).

For those of you who wished you could convert your comps to 100% cash,
this is an opportunity. I'd reimburse you at full ticket face value.

I realize that I might be able get these through Stubhub or maybe
Ebay, but I thought this might be an opportunity for one of you to
convert your comps to cash (with no middle man).

When I'm not involved in real estate or video poker, I play guitar and
am a big Clapton fan and really wanted to see Clapton at Mohegan. Any
assistance you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve
