I spent last weekend Golfing, Gambling, and drinking Good liquor.
I took off at noon Thursday and spent the night in Mt. Pleasant.
Played the Pohlcat (a great golf course) in the afternoon, and played
video poker in the evening at Soaring Eagle.
I managed to stay just about even for the six hours I played,
which was fine with me. I mostly played quarter Pick'Em, with a
little 9/7/5 Double Bonus thrown in just to break up the monotony.
And besides, those were the only two vp games they had that were even
remotely playable anyway.
Later I got comped a great meal in their upscale restaurant, "The
Water Lily." I bought an excellent bottle of expensive wine to go
with the meal and overall, enjoyed myself. That place is one of the
best restaurants in Michigan.
The next morning I drove up to the Torch Lake area and checked
into the condo the group had rented. It was golfing (Antrim Dells and
A Ga Ming) during the day, dinner in the local restaurants later, and
gambling at Turtle Creek Casino in the evenings. Life is good.
Turtle Creek Casino, to my surprise, had a few good vp games. They
had Pick'Em, 9/6 JB, DD Bonus, 9/7/5 DB, and several others at 98% or
higher.
I managed to hit a couple of quads on quarter Pick'Em while I was
there and ended up about $200 ahead for the weekend. Not much, but a
hell of a lot better than losing. I also managed to win $350 in the
golf tournament, which wasn't too bad either.
Anyway, I had a great time, wish you were there, blah, blah, blah.
