I kind of snuck up on the GNL slowly increasing play and peaked out about
July 2003 with a $15k month. The main thrust is a bi-monthly "Insider" mailer
which is due now for Jan/Feb. In it is listed your Golden Getaway Points which
you can use anyway you want for rooms, 1=weekday,2=weekend,4=special. Very
straightfoward.
It is not clear what period of time they use to compute these points. It is
not clear if a short play day hurts. I just dabble in table games, but they
just went to a one combined banked comp account, no comp slips.
My best GGP total was 13 and I average 6. I would hope $5k on a new card
would get the mail started. There is a host office.
Also, there are double point coupons in this mailer for two days/month your
choice.
Of course Barrick is taking over this Spring, so who knows what will happen.
