Empress .25 Triple Play ?

I went into the Empress a few weeks back, and sat down at the triple
plays at the bar. I went into my habit of playing only one hand at a
time, so I plunked 5 credits, but then I noticed I was playing 2 hands
at 2 credits, and one hand at one credit. Did I miss somethig? I
though I would be able to play one hand at max credits. The way it
worked with those machines, it appears one credit enables the first
hand, the second credit goes to the second hand, the third credit goes
to the third hand, the fourth goes back into the first hand, and so on
(am I confusing anyone yet)?

Am I blind, or is my observation correct?

I have found most multihand machines work the way you describe at the Empress. Where are there machines that allow you to play all 5 credits on the bottom line?

I must have been spoiled by the Majestic Star's 100 plays. You can do
1 line / 5 credits on those (but a a nicle and penny, why would you
want to there?)

This is standard for 3/5 plays in my experience.

You must not have run into Moe, Larry, and Joe (and there many
friends). They love 50 and 100 play machines and they play 1 coin, 1
hand, preferably penny denom. and then play pretty slow. they can
make a 1 dollar bill last most of the day. It doesnt matter if the
game there playing is 90% EV the casino still doesnt make enough to
pay the electricity to run the machine. It has been discussed before
and no one had any great ideas on how to get rid of them.

Happy Royals (if you can get on the machine)
