Empire city Yonkers ny

Take my word on it, they cheat at Empire City. I don't lie. Wait until you're dealt a 4 of a kind say 4 7's and discard one of the 7's.
The genie will appear, your final hand was supposed to be 4 of a kind and even you can not kill this result.

Class II machines and it's somewhat based on a lottery. Google "difference between class II and Class III slot machines"

Memory from VP group thread that the regs in N.Y. call for an
average E.V. .92 which is competitive with "real" casinos for slot machines; But not video poker which as you suspect is not really video poker at Empire.

Relatively the same deal for slot machine players as Atlantic City. video poker players should not go there.

First of all the odds offered on various games ranks highest second I have hit three times for 20k playing different games. 25 dollars bet per hand Each time this crazy genie came out and turned over a few cards making my hand into a royal it happen last week in fact.
While the EV on slots may be lower that doesn't affect video as the odds are posted on the game king machines. I have seen a few players throw away great hands and get the same or better hands many times. the times I have seen this happen have been players betting 1 dollar or 1.25 on twenty five cent games. I find that machine behavior to be suspicious too.

This is not true in Atlantic City casinos.
They use a RNG and skill games ie, Video Poker the RTP is used to figure the return percentage based skill/strategy. I think this falls under regulations in 13:69E-1.28
Class III machines.
