Does anyone play the Emerald Island Casino in Henderson?
They are advertising "Everyday is promotion day." Does
anyone know what that means?
I can't answer this question about the Emerald Casino, but
this reminds me about their TV ad I saw recently. They were
bragging that all cash-outs at their casino would be
hand-pays. No coins, no tickets. Every single cash-out
would be a hand-pay. This ad didn't make me want to rush
over and play there.
MSS - Played there this Monday 6/21. All change persons had
been laid-off. The scratch card promotion was still in
effect with the floor people giving them out.
Rio - Saw a blurb in yesterday's paper that Rosemary's
Restaurant has closed. Their other location on W. Sahara
remains open.
Rio - Ate at the renovated Carnival Buffet Tuesday. It's
extra busy with the 1/2 price for locals promotion
Sunday-Thursday through June. I observed that about half
the patrons in line were there for this promotion. I was
lucky to only wait about fifteen minutes at around
11:30 am. This was the regular line, not the
Diamond/Platinum line. I'm sure the wait is longer at peak
times. BTW I loved the buffet. They had a huge selection
and I've never seen smoothies offered at any other buffet.
Texas - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has closed. The area around
the nearby slant-top FPDW is now much quieter.
