anything worth a play up there.

I've been to Ely! Spent the night there a long time
ago.
And I don't remember a single thing about it, except I
know I've been there. I think that's a clue.

I have been there twice. The first time, believe it
or not about 20 years ago. I was working for a
different Oil company at the time which drilled a
wildcat well about 30 miles out of town. I was sent
there to witness a logging run which got delayed
several days and I ended up playing a lot of blackjack
at the only two casinos in town which were within
walking distance of the best motel in town at the time
which is where I was staying. I thing the place is
called the "Jailhouse Motel" I don't know if it is
still there or not. I subsequently stayed there once
fifteen years ago on the way to Tahoe on a skiing trip
with my family. We drove all the way from Dallas for
some silly reason or other just that one time. It was
before I even learned basic strategy and is the only
time in my life I played so much blackjack I got sick
of it!!!

Ely IS better than the next 90 miles of salt flat East in Utah!
