Ellis mailer - perhaps major changes afoot

Scot Krause wrote: The info I received from them lists "10x available daily" but also shows the
regular monthly multiplier days as always. Can anyone clarify?

Gambooler has the right info:

0-999 daily base points get 1X
1,000 - 1,999 daily base points get 2X
2,000 - 4,999 daily base points get 4X
5,000+ daily base points get 10X

These old multipliers are gone as of February 1st:

10x Mon, Fri, Sat. 3x Tues, Weds, Thurs & Sun.

Some machines are still excluded.

I've been there twice already this month. No bounceback free play has been available from the kiosk and nothing mailed to me about it either.

Thanks for the update.

I played at Ellis Island at 1/31 about 3K coin in. Also no free play in mail or in Kiosk.

My wife and I have been playing at Ellis for years. She is an "elite inner circle" player and gets the top mailer, and I was an inner circle member and got the next highest mailer, until this month, when I got no mailer at all. We played the same games, almost always on 10X point days. She has been getting "passport perks" free play steadily. I got a few of these early on, but they stopped after a lucky streak began.

I spoke with one of the managers at Ellis about the changes and he said the perks free play would the only kind rewarded under the new system. The way it works is that when a player accumulates a certain amount of theoretical loss, the computer automatically spits out a perks reward. He did not say anything about win/loss being a factor, which I'm sure was just an innocent oversight. He also confirmed the new point multiplier system is as gamblOOr described, with the old point multiplier days eliminated. He said dining rewards would remain the same, although my wife's February mailer said nothing about this.

The implementation of this new system follows by a couple of months the installation of a new player tracking system, a process which Ellis management botched, creating all sorts of problems. But it appears the new system gives management much more information about the actual value of each player and that players will be rewarded according to what they play as well as how much. I'm pretty sure the old system tracked only coin-in, and mailers were based solely on that.

Ellis has long had a reputation of excluding players who won "too much." Apparently this practice continues in the form of denying such players any reason to play there. Kicking out players just for winning is, of course, a stupid policy, and one at odds with Ellis' own practice of awarding substantial bounce-back free play to winners of W-2G jackpots.
