Yeh, it is sure easier swiping your card for drawing entries. The
River Palms(Laughlin) has joined the club, swipe...you are entered
for their ongoing twice daily drawings.
I still like to do it the old fanshioned way, like at the Pioneer.
They have a day or two a month where they do the "Roll Your Own"
promotion (I like that name). This is a multi-point promo where you
get 2x,3x or 4x points, cashback normally is 1/6%, comps 1/3%.
They get out a mini-craps table by the slot booth. You roll a six
inch square wooden die on this table. It lumbers to a stop, 3
sides/2x, 2 sides/3x and one lucky side for 4x.
The Pioneer also does the "Prize 'O Plenty Wheel" once in awhile.
Spin the carnival wheel (35 sections) for logo items, food, rooms or
extra-play. The best spots are $100, $50, $25, $10 in extra-play or
Sunday Brunch in Granny's for two.
Casinos should have to post odds, like AZ Charlies 2x-100x, for
promos, just like any non-casino drawing/contest.
