Bob: I cannot give you specifics for this property, but can give you some general experience. We switched over to the Eldorado a couple of years ago due to issues with the Horseshoe (the damned ADT). As background, I have been Diamond for several years. Since we started at the Eldorado, we have had received excellent treatment. The mailers have always been good - essentially free room, bounceback cash and a dollar figure comp (depending on play) for their steakhouse (Vintage). It started for us at $75 and now is usually $150. I have had guests with me and had no trouble getting more comped. In addition, we get offers all the time for giveaways, tournaments etc. I am at their high level (called Presidents) and also get invites to outstanding parties etc. With that level, you can go into the buffet at any time and present your card and get free buffets for you and a guest. Also, at that level (Presidents) the cash back is at .3% for video poker, significantly better than the Horseshoe's .125%. We have also been to their Reno property and, while that location does not give cash back, comps are earned at the .3% rate since they indicated to us how many dollars of comps we had coming to us for the trip. A quite calculation gave us that .3% comp rate. Personally, I would not go to the Shoe were it not in the Harrah's system and we use the rooms in other locations (New Orleans, Vegas, Reno etc.). As a point of reference, we started outdoing about $400K per year coin in to gain that level of comps. Good luck.

I played at Eldorado this week for the first time (I've been playing at the Horseshoe). Does anyone know how their comps work? When I asked at the booth, the lady told me how much cashback I had earned, but she said she wasn't allowed to tell me exactly how much I had in comps but I had enough for a couple of buffets if I wanted them. Has anyone else been told this? Do you have to have a casino host to find out anything?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
