El Cortez Barring

While browsing posts from July, I can across this message, which, as
far as I can tell, had no response.

Does anyone know what happened to "Don the Dentist", the "barree"?
I haven't found additional posts from him. Hopefully, he was not
also barred from the vpFree forum.

Anyway, I am curious as to whether he ever went back to the EC, and
if so, what happened? Did he ever determine why he was barred? Was
he just barred from vp, or barred from entering the casino?

If anyone has any clue to this rather bizarre circumstance, would
they please share the info.

Thanks!

Don. Don! Don?

BS

I am alive and well, having just returned from two weeks in Brazil.

I was trespassed from the El Cortez...meaning I cannot even go into
the property...if I do, I would be subject to potential arrest.

I found out from a very knowledgable source that the barring was due
to two "situations" - only playing on triple point days and the
perception of pulling the players card an abnormal number of times.
While I do pull the card on dealt 4OAK or SF, the day in question had
special circumstances.

I don't want to go into details right now, as discussions will be
starting to get me reinstated...but even if I am, I doubt if I'll
give them much play in the future. And there are plenty of equal or
better EV plays around...remember, we are talking about the El
Cortez, after all!!!

  >>>Thanks for the info. Innocent that I am, I wouldn't have
thought of pulling the card to disquise a big win. I guess that's a
good thing now that the casinos can figure out exactly how you play
through their sofisticated systems. I have noticed that at some
casinos (the Peppermill/Reno is one) that if you pull your card for
whatever reason, AFTER a win, the message flashes that a "carded
session is in progress". If I'm scooping coins from bin, I've
pulled the card, which is attached to me by a bungee, so that it is
out of the way. This is when I've noticed this message.
    >>>Anyway, Don, I don't blame you for eschewing the EC in the
future. They certainly treated you very poorly. Good luck wherever
you decide to play in the future.
