Edgewater/Colorado Belle

I just received an offer for 3 free nights (Sun-Thurs)
from the Edgewater, a "Special Treasure chest upon check-in"
and a "Bonus Treasure Chest Pull". This is the first free
room offer from the Edgewater in a long time.
I always have a free 5 (any days) consecutive night offer
from the Colorado Belle. Because of this, most of my play
(between those 2 related casinos) is at the Belle. Now I only
play at the Edgewater if I want their buffet discount!
In early May, the last time at the Belle, I received full
food and beverage for two people and for 4 days upon check-in.
I had requested 3 weekend nights in order to play in their
$1 slot tournament in early May. There was no mention of
comped food and beverage in that offer. This is the first
time I have ever receive such an offer and thought they might
have made a mistake! The tournament lasted only 2 days and
it also included 4 free meals! I guess I will continue to
concentrate any play at those two casinos at the Belle!

Bob, your good fortune of getting comped food and beverage on your
last visit had nothing to do with the slot tournament. It was based
on your previous play at the Belle. I get the same offers as you, and
the last 4 trips, I received food and beverage privledges. None of
this is mentioned in my offers, but they give it to you at check in
at the hotel. Did you get the gold or silver card? The gold card
will get you free food for 2 at the buffet, coffee shop, the little
snack shop near the sportsbook, and beverages at all bars. Once I
received the silver card, and that gave me all the eating places
except the Orleans room. I am sure some get that one also, but I have
no knowledge of what type of play is required for that.

It was a silver card. It specifically listed these sites
on the back for cmmplimentary food and beverage "Orleans Room,
Mississippi Lounge, Boiler room, Mark Twain's, Paddlewheel,
Captain's Buffet, Portside Snacks, Snack Shack, and Casino
Bars". It was funny, but I first thought they would take the
cards after eating the first night in Mark Twain's! We did
not abuse the priviledge, but it was sure a nice comp to have.
I never had full RFB anywhere and did not know what they
were doing as I watch them laminate the cards. They asked
me if I wanted "one or two" before I even knew what the were.
I innocently thought two must be better than one - so I said
"two". Thus they gave me 2 cards with "one" written on the
front of each card. This allowed my wife to use one alone.
They never looked at her card the times we were together.
However, the next time I might say one. This would give
someone the option of taking someone different with you if
you know someone else in the casino on that trip.
My slot invitation did not even mention rooms and I was sure
all participants did not have such cards since 4 meals were
included in the tournament offer and there were too many
participants.
In spite of playing $1 video poker, I do not consider myself
a big player. That is the reason I thought it might be a
mistake. For whatever it is worth, I will mention the only
thing that has changed recently in my play at the Belle. I
received their "Super Bowl Party" invitation for 3 nights.
I stayed all 3 nights, but concentrated all trip play in only
a 24 hour period "slot day". I play nothing at the Belle the
other two days. That is it. I do not think that I gamble
more, just did it in a single day.
