We are offered free trips to Reno or Tahoe. Went to Tahoe but never Reno.
Everyone says
it isn't as safe there?? Kind of scared me off but hubby would like to go.
I always felt perfectly safe in Reno, and travel quite a bit throughout
Reno and Sparks
during the day. At night, as it gets late, I stay closer to my hotel.
I've had the opportunity to stay over in Reno a couple of times in the past
6 or 7 months...I felt it was perfectly safe. (Now that the railroad tracks
are in the trench, you don't even run the risk of being flattened by a
train.) I even walked from downtown out to Atlantis without any problem (during
the day).
BUT, if you're of the frame of mind to think that the walk between the
Sahara and Stratosphere in Las Vegas is too scary to attempt, then I'm not sure
what you'll think of Reno at night.
