Eccentric behavior at VP machines

There may be a delay here, between 8 p.m. or so Friday night when I
wrote this message and the time when it posts, because I'm new to the
group.

Tom referred earlier tonight to what I consider superstitious behavior
by some folks at VP machines, the legends of "hot" machines.

During my occasional visits to LV from California, I have seen a lot
of strange things. The first I remember (which I've seen repeated)
was the sight of an older woman caressing a machine, giving it little
strokes and taps before dealing each hand.

For comic relief, I'd like to hear the rest of you describe some of
the eccentric behavior you have witnessed.

Welcome to the group !

Yes, I have observed some very strange behavior . But ...... the one that stands out most in my mind was a lady with a small Bible laying on her machine that she rubbed from time to time. I was on a three day trip at the Grand . Each day there, I saw this same lady and her Bible playing vp.

I once saw a lady take out a butane cigarette lighter, lit it, and then
waved it back and forth next to the dollar bill acceptor of the vp
machine! Must have been "warming" up the machine.

What about the people that cover part of their machine's window with the winning/losing combination??? Or those that "wipe" the glass???
If they think this helps. . .. well, I have this land. . . . . Actually, they drive me to leaving my machine and relocating!!!!
