i mentioned a couple days ago that video poker machines were excluded from
point multipliers at eastside cannery, but they've now done away with point
multipliers entirely. instead of advertising that monday/wednesday have 10x
points, they're now advertising that monday/wednesday you can earn points to
get a free shirt. whee!

Maybe we should stage a boycott? I was there yesterday and saw all
the signs on the games. Since the signs don't specifically mention
vp, I can't believe that even if someone is playing slots or Keno on
these multi-purpose machines they don't get the point multiple. Sheesh.

Just for the record, I suspect the casino really wants to specify multipliers for each game on the machine. But the software, in this case Aristocrat's Oasis, does not support this ability. No software approved by regulators does.

There are signs at the entrances apologizing for the 10x promo being
cancelled.

A sign at the slot club says the $20 Free Play for new signups is dead
too. They blame a "miss print" in the newspaper which said the promo
was to last through October, although it was only intended for a single
weekend. They say they tried to keep it going, but were overwhelmed.
