Eastside Cannery

I had posted previously that I was no mailed by Eastside Cannery for
being a "strong player". I have not played there since being told this in
late October. Now for February, I suddenly get a local's mailer with Free
Slot Play and food coupons. Mr Dancer wrote in one of his articles that he
was now a consultant there and did not think their no mailing players for
playing during excessively lucrative promotions organized
by inexperienced casino management was a good business move. I can only
guess that he has been successful in persuading the management that this is
the case and that players should not be effectively barred from receiving
casino benefits for taking advantage of casino promotions. I would also be
willing to bet that he has played a hand in designing the current multiplier
days that give 6X for video reels and 3X for video poker. Sure it is not
an advantage gambler's gold mine, but at least it is now playable with a
slight advantage for recreational video poker players when all benefits are
considered.

what planet is that casino on...my first mailer from ec was $125/week.
My current month is $5/week. The full pay bank is now the slowest in
town...it makes sam's town seem lightening fast...

I could see where the play is now inferior for 25c FPDW players, but
were any of these players removed from the mailing list for
being "strong players"? These players have a 100%+ return game
available 24-7 even without mailers. I should have qualified that the
play is now better for higher denomination players that play 99 - 99.6%
games. Shouldn't the casino be offering these players more rewards for
risking higher amounts of money on lower rate of return games rather
than chasing them off by giving them no incentive to play?

my friend who was nomailed at eastside (with no explanation) still has
received no mailer for february. i put in about half the amount of
play, on the same machines, at the same times, and have never been
nomailed.

I can only

i think you are attributing an excessive amount of rationality to
eastside management.

cheers,

five

You flew under the radar.

By the way, Dancer's "Million Dollar Video Poker" describes a
situation where Dancer and his partner were sharing a machine with
another couple ("My Ship Has Come In"). The other couple got thrown
out because management suspected they were pros. The evicted couple
tried to finger Dancer and his partner: "What about them?" Management
let Dancer and his partner continue playing because they didn't think
they were pros. The book describes how Dancer pulled this off.

That was an amusing story. "Hoiya! Hoiya! Hoiya!"
