Eastside Cannery missive

July 21, 2009

Dear gamb00ler,

Please allow me to intoduce myself, my name is Sean Sullivan and I am the General Manager at the Eastside Cannery Hotel & Casino. Upon my arrival at the Eastside, I was made aware of a situation that adversely impacted your relationship with our property and is inconsistent with our guest service standards. As I understand the situation, you were invited to play on a 10X bonus point promotion in September of 2008. You played and you were then removed from the Eastside database and treated with service that is inconsistent for our organization. For this situation, I would like to start by offering my sincere apology.

Therefore, I would like to reactivate your C.A.N. Club membership immediately as a High Flyer member. With reactivation, you will receive our August mailer with $75 cash each week as well as other valuable goods and services. To continue receiving mailings in September, you will need to qualify based on your play between now and August 14th.

In addition to reactivating your membership I would like to invite you and a guest to join me at the Eastside for a VIP dinner on July 30th at 6:00 p.m. in our fabulous One Six Sky Lounge private dining area. Joining me at the One Six will be Bob Dancer, a strong video poker player and a true advocate for Video Poker players around the country.

Lastly, I would like to inform you of a few additional important values being offered at the Eastside:
- VIP Slot Area featuring your favorite games and 2X points on Video Poker and 5X points on Reels and Video Reels in the month of July
- July multiplier days - 3X points on Video Poker and 6X points on Reels and Video Reels (July 22nd and 30th)
- August multiplier days - 3X points on Video Poker and 6X points on Reels and Video Reels (August 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 20th, 25th, and 27th)
- Points redeemable for CASH, up to $500 each day, at the Players Club
- Points redeemable for Free Slot Play, up to $250 each day, at the Eastside Cannery Slots

I hope this letter will express my sincere apology for the incident that took place at the Eastside and I hope you will join Bob Dancer and me for dinner on July 30th at 6 p.m. To attend the VIP dinner, please RSVP by calling my assistant Paola Luzi at 702-856-5302. Also, Be sure to check out your mailbox for your valuable Eastside Cannery August mailer.

I look forward to meeting you and to a long term relationship of mutual respect. The Eastside Cannery is the best on Boulder and while our competitors are "cutting back", we are marching forward.

Sincerely,

Sean Sullivan
General Manager

I got this letter too. In my case, I did not participate in the 10X points fiasco. I think my sin was playing extensively when they had the Neighborhood Partners promotion. In any event, I am happy to be welcomed back by Mr Sullivan and am thankful to Mr Dancer for any participation on his part to bring about this reversal.

Here's my guess at what happened: Over time they had no-mailed so many of their customers for various "infractions" that they no longer had any serious players coming in the door. Then some top executive started to question why their slot/VP machine volume was only a fraction of what it was a year or two ago....

Then they re-install playable high denom vp and the BOA'S and BOA' Deluxe's burn the place down, as the 'player freindly' slot department staff again slashes paytables and blacklist's certain players. Speaking of Burn Out Artist deluxe's, the Palms makes its 0.25 cash back to go and the BOA's are all over it. Just yesterday I bore witness to one hammering away at two machines, as well as the bank jam packed w/ vpfree fleas. I give the games a month tops to live!
