Easter in AC Trip report-Short

Just spent three days over Easter in Atlantic City staying at the Showboat and enjoyed
mostly glorious sunshine, 80 degree weather on the Saturday though cooler on the
Sunday. Was given a very nice refurbished room in the Bourbon Tower (courtesy of my
host Pat) with a big plasma screen TV on the wall and a great view of the ocean.

VP on House of Blues side was for me dreadful. The machines are used and scuzzy with
hard to see screens thanks to the reflection from the harsh lighting. After several hundred
dollars playing .25c DDB and not one four of a kind, I gave up.

The construction going in the casino also makes it annoying to get around.

Whilst at the Showboat I played mostly the .25c triple play Joker Wild progressives hitting
five of a kind four times for $1000.00 a time (the first two times came within ten hands of
each other), over my stay as well as having straight flushes dealt to me twice for $375.00
each time. Made enough comps for my partner and I to enjoy nice dinners at the Napoli
and Chop House restaurants. Also enjoyed drinks and snack in the Pelican Lounge for
Diamond members. The service was great and there is even an outdoor terrace
overlooking the ocean where one can go enjoy one's drinks.

Did a Boardwalk casino and sight-seeing crawl on the Sunday (thanks to some of the
suggestions on this board) playing this and that everywhere and ending up having a great
run at the Taj Mahal playing nickel progrsesive Spin Poker and Mr Cashman of all things,
for a net win of $400.00 and over $50.00 worth of comps (though hard to tell as they do
not issue more than $50.00 at a time and I haven't used any yet)!

Left AC up by $1300.00 having had a relaxing and fun time and also having enjoyed some
great long walks by the sea in the sunshine. Thanks to all for your suggestions as to what
was worth looking up in AC!
