I hope the 15/9 DW are still there at the Venetian near the entrance
to the Slot Salon. Does anyone know what the best DW is at the
Palazzo? Do they have 15/9?

The Venetian still had 15/9 in the high limit room today.
Sorry to be a curmudgeon, but, looking at the vpFREE paytables, there appear to be a
number of 15/9 DW, To which one are you referring?
This is just another instance of there being so many different pay tables. The only way to be
entirely sure about what one is talking, is to give the entire table.
Thanks.

It's "Ugly Ducks": 1-2-3-4-4-9-15-25-200-800. I assume that if anyone
found 1-2-2-3-5-9-15-25-200-800 there, they'd report it here
immediately, as, OF COURSE, I would.

I am stuck in Northern Wyoming for a couple of months and was wondering if it would be worth the 2 hr drive to go to Billings for the weekend for a VP fix. I don't mind playing slightly under 100% for the entertainment value. There is also a casino in Riverton, WY that I know nothing about. It must be tribal because I think gambling is illegal in WY. I don't think they even have a state lottery. Feel free to email me privately if you want.

Still? Wow, they're showing a lot of heart offering that game.

Just for perspective, the Rio pulled all of their airport deuces a couple of months ago. This is
probably the best DW on the Strip (which probably is not saying much...LOL)

I still have a few top secret Montana plays. For anyone trying to
find them it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
First, you would have to know what you are looking for, second, you
have only 1700 licensed establishments in about the 4th largest state
in the union to survey in order to find it, third, there will be
people in the seats of alot of the machines you are trying to check.
My help would make it alot easier on a person but my Alzheimer's
kicks in when I get asked that question.
But I can write about what appears to be the Montanans VP game of
choice. It's the game I see most played anyway. It's called Triple
Ace Poker and here is the payscale:
RF................640
SF................130
4K-Aces............85
Regular 4K.........55
Full House-Aces....25
Regular Full House.10
Flush...............7
Straight............4
3K-Aces.............8
Regular 3K..........2
Two Pair............1
Pair of Aces........1
At the bottom of the payscale you will find these words: "A paying
hand with 3 or more aces in it triggers eight bonus games." So to
trigger the bonus games you have to make 3 Aces, Aces Full or Four
Aces. Most of your bonus rounds will come from making 3 Aces.
When the bonus round triggers you are dealt five cards. There will
be a multiplier behind each card. Behind two of the cards will be a
4X multiplier; behind two cards will be a 3X multiplier; and behind
one card will be a 2X multiplier.
When you pick a card it will reveal what your multiplier for those 8
games are. If you pick 2X, the entire payscale will multiply by 2.
If you pick 4X, the entire payscale will multiply by 4. If you make
a 3 Ace hand in one of the bonus hands you get 8 more bonus games.
I know that some of the more VP educated of you who have read this
far are thinking "Wow, this game might be advantage!!" That's what I
thought at first glance. There's a little catch to the game that has
to be factored in: The bonus games are not free. They cost what
ever you were betting to start with. If you were betting a dollar a
hand then each bonus game costs you a dollar a hand.
I did a little work on this game until I was satisfied that it was
not advantage. And I found the game to be alot of fun. At least it
got my nose opened for me. I started out betting low but the more
stuck I got I went into the RS double up to catch up routine. I
finally caught a 4K at 4X and quit playing.
I don't think the game is over 97% myself, but I never finished
working on it. One of the questions I didn't get around to figuring
out is: Is the value of a lone Ace in 4X mode the same as the value
of a lone ace in normal mode. In other words their may be one
strategy for normal mode and different strategies for the bonus
modes.
Another little quirk to the Montana game is the Montana Law. No
jackpot over $800. You can bet up to $2 a hand but the royal won't
pay more than $800. Therefore, if you are betting more than 30 cents
a hand, you will lose % on the royal when you are in a 4X multiplier
and so on. Good luck.
